Groundbreaking Ceremony Date Set for State of South Dakota One Stop
September 14, 2023Sioux Falls, South Dakota – Dream Design International is proud to partner with the State of South Dakota on the State of South Dakota One Stop in Sioux Falls. The groundbreaking ceremony for this monumental facility is scheduled for Tuesday, September 26th, at 2:30 p.m. The event will take place at the project site, located at 1501 S Highline Ave in Sioux Falls.
The 280,000-square-foot State of South Dakota One Stop will serve as a central hub, consolidating 12 state agencies previously located across Sioux Falls. With over 650 state staff members slated to work within its walls, the State of South Dakota One Stop promises to foster greater collaboration among state employees and deliver enhanced services to the citizens of South Dakota.
The agencies relocating to this state-of-the-art facility encompass a wide spectrum of vital services, including:
- Bureau of Human Resources and Administration
- Bureau of Information and Telecommunications
- Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources
- Department of Corrections
- Department of Education
- Department of Health
- Department of Human Services
- Department of Labor and Regulation
- Department of Public Safety – Driver Licensing
- Department of Revenue
- Department of Social Services
- Governor’s Office of Economic Development
Dream Design, in collaboration with CO-OP Architecture as the architect and McGough as the general contractor, has worked alongside state agencies over the past several months to design a space that not only caters to the needs of the staff but also serves the best interests of the citizens of South Dakota.
Collaborative efforts between Dream Design International, the state, and city officials are underway to revise public transportation routes to best serve the citizens of the Sioux Falls area who will utilize this facility. Dream Design expresses a heartfelt appreciation to the City of Sioux Falls for their commitment and dedication throughout the approval and rezoning processes, which plays a pivotal role in making this project successful.
State agencies will begin moving into the building in early 2025.
